How To run Toplink JPA Examples With OpenJPA

Steps to Run this example with OpenJPA
--------------------------------------

Download the OpenJPA from
http://www.apache.org/dyn/closer.cgi/openjpa/1.0.1/apache-openjpa-1.0.1-binary.zip

Run the following batch file to set the environment variables.

dd.bat

set OPENJPA_HOME=d:\apache-openjpa-1.0.1
set CLASSPATH=%OPENJPA_HOME%\openjpa-1.0.1.jar
set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;e:\ias1013\jdbc\lib\ojdbc14.jar
set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;%OPENJPA_HOME%\lib\commons-collections-3.2.jar
set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;%OPENJPA_HOME%\lib\commons-lang-2.1.jar
set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;%OPENJPA_HOME%\lib\commons-logging-1.0.4.jar
set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;%OPENJPA_HOME%\lib\commons-pool-1.3.jar
set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;%OPENJPA_HOME%\lib\geronimo-jms_1.1_spec-1.0.1.jar
set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;%OPENJPA_HOME%\lib\geronimo-jpa_3.0_spec-1.0.jar
set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;%OPENJPA_HOME%\lib\geronimo-jta_1.1_spec-1.1.jar
set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;%OPENJPA_HOME%\lib\serp-1.13.1.jar
echo %CLASSPATH%

In the persistence.xml file have the following entries (Comment out the entries that
are related to the toplink essentials.

value="DefaultLevel=WARN, Runtime=INFO, Tool=INFO"/>
